Carlos is board-certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He graduated with honors from the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at the Central University of Venezuela. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University (2010–2013) and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Massachusetts (2013–2016). His professional background includes serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Upstate University (2016–2021) and as the Director of Outpatient Pulmonary Clinics at the University of South Florida (2021–2023). Most recently, he practiced with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group. Carlos is bilingual in English and Spanish.
